The Volthium 51.2-314-ESS is a 16.1 kWh, 48 V-class LiFePO4 home energy storage battery in a single floor-standing IP65 cabinet. With self-heating, UL9540 DC ESS certification and plug-and-play connections, it's a straightforward way to add serious storage to grid-tied, backup or off-grid solar systems across Canada.
One unit runs a home through outages and evening loads, and you can parallel up to 32 units. It can even be combined with Volthium's 51.2 V 100 Ah 3U rackmount batteries. An optional conduit box mounts on top, with the inverter above it, for a clean, compact install.

Good to Know
- The conduit box (ACC-CONDUIT-BOX-16KWH) and its cable kit (ACC-SUPP-CABLES-16KWH) are sold separately. An inverter communication cable can be ordered with it or supplied by the installer.
- Floor-standing on adjustable feet. It must be anchored to the wall.
- Ships by freight as a Class 9 dangerous good (UN3480). It weighs about 304 lb, so plan for a lift gate and help on site.
- Installation should be done by a qualified installer, following the Volthium manual and local electrical code.
To serve customers across Canada, many larger products are shipped by freight to ensure safe transport. Depending on the item and your location, you may have the option to pick up from a nearby warehouse terminal or request delivery to your home, cabin, or job site.
Terminal Pickup for Larger Items
Terminal pickup is available for many items over 150 lbs and can help reduce shipping costs.
For eligible freight-shipped products, you may see a Hold for Pickup at Local Terminal option at checkout. This will show available warehouse terminals closest to your shipping address, generally within a 100 km radius when available.
Once your order is scheduled to arrive, the freight company will contact you with pickup details.
Terminal pickup orders must be picked up within 48 hours of being contacted. After 48 hours, a $45/day storage fee may apply.
Residential Delivery
Residential delivery may be available for eligible freight items. Additional delivery fees may apply depending on your location and the item being shipped.
Remote and Hard-to-Reach Locations
If you live in a remote area or outside standard freight zones, please contact us before placing your order. Some rural locations may require additional charges or special delivery arrangements.

Receiving Freight Shipments
Always inspect your shipment before signing any paperwork.
If the box or pallet is damaged, note the damage clearly on the Bill of Lading before signing, or refuse the shipment if the damage is significant.
If no damage is recorded and the shipment is accepted, the freight carrier may consider it delivered in good condition. In that case, we may not be able to issue a refund or replacement.
Damaged or Missing Items
If your shipment arrives damaged, is missing parts, or has any issue, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving it. Include photos whenever possible, as they are often required for freight claims.
