Thornova 425W Bifacial Solar Panel
The Thornova TS-BBT54-425W is a 425-watt, all-black bifacial solar panel built with high-efficiency N-type monocrystalline cells. Its bifacial design captures sunlight from both the front and rear surfaces, increasing potential energy production when installed above reflective surfaces such as light-coloured roofing, gravel, concrete, or snow.
With a compact 54-cell format, black frame, and transparent black mesh backsheet, this panel delivers a clean appearance for residential, cottage, off-grid, and commercial solar installations. The N-type cell technology provides low degradation, improved low-light performance, and dependable energy production over the panel’s service life.
Bifacial Energy Production
The rear surface can capture reflected sunlight, providing up to 25% additional energy production under suitable installation conditions. Actual bifacial gain depends on mounting height, surface reflectivity, shading, and site layout.
N-Type Mono-crystalline Cells
N-type cells are less susceptible to light-induced degradation than conventional P-type cells. This helps maintain stronger output over time, with up to 10% to 30% greater lifetime energy production compared with standard P-type modules.
Strong Low-Light Performance
The TS-BBT54-425W continues generating power during cloudy, overcast, and lower-light conditions. This makes it well suited for Canadian installations where solar conditions can change considerably throughout the year.

Terminal Pickup for Larger Items
Terminal pickup is available for many items over 150 lbs and can help reduce shipping costs.
For eligible freight-shipped products, you may see a Hold for Pickup at Local Terminal option at checkout. This will show available warehouse terminals closest to your shipping address, generally within a 100 km radius when available.
Once your order is scheduled to arrive, the freight company will contact you with pickup details.
Terminal pickup orders must be picked up within 48 hours of being contacted. After 48 hours, a $45/day storage fee may apply.
Residential Delivery
Residential delivery may be available for eligible freight items. Additional delivery fees may apply depending on your location and the item being shipped.

Receiving Freight Shipments
Always inspect your shipment before signing any paperwork.
If the box or pallet is damaged, note the damage clearly on the Bill of Lading before signing, or refuse the shipment if the damage is significant.
If no damage is recorded and the shipment is accepted, the freight carrier may consider it delivered in good condition. In that case, we may not be able to issue a refund or replacement.
Damaged or Missing Items
If your shipment arrives damaged, is missing parts, or has any issue, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving it. Include photos whenever possible, as they are often required for freight claims.
