Biolan Filter Material is a natural, compostable replacement media for Biolan greywater filters. It gives the micro-organisms inside the filter the structure and surface area they need to break down impurities in greywater from sinks, showers and laundry.
One bag fills five filter boxes. When it reaches the end of its service life, you can compost it or spread it as cover around the roots of ornamental plants.
Key Features
- Natural Composition – Made from natural materials that support both mechanical and biological filtration.
- Biological Support – A large surface area gives greywater-cleaning micro-organisms room to work.
- Five Boxes per Bag – Each bag holds enough media to fill five filter boxes.
- Garden Reuse – Spent media can be composted or used as cover material around ornamental plants.
Good to Know
- Biolan Greywater Filter 70 and 125: two bags per refill.
- Biolan Greywater Filter Light: one bag per refill.
- For greywater only, from sinks, showers and similar household sources.

Terminal Pickup for Larger Items
Terminal pickup is available for many items over 150 lbs and can help reduce shipping costs.

Receiving Freight Shipments
Always inspect your shipment before signing any paperwork.
If the box or pallet is damaged, note the damage clearly on the Bill of Lading before signing, or refuse the shipment if the damage is significant.
If no damage is recorded and the shipment is accepted, the freight carrier may consider it delivered in good condition. In that case, we may not be able to issue a refund or replacement.
Damaged or Missing Items
If your shipment arrives damaged, is missing parts, or has any issue, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving it. Include photos whenever possible, as they are often required for freight claims.
