The Biolan Composting Eco Toilet is a waterless composting toilet that sits directly on the floor, so it suits outhouses where no pit is allowed. It needs no water or power, and effective thermal insulation plus an air channel to the centre of the compost mass help solids compost quickly.
It's odourless and hygienic in use, and it can compost your kitchen biowaste too. The finished compost can be used as cover soil or to fertilize garden plants.

Good to Know
- Cover solids with composting material such as coco shells, peat moss or sawdust to prevent odours.
- For continuous winter use, install the unit in a warm space and make sure the drain hose and seep liquid canister don't freeze.
- Indoors, insulate the ventilation pipe where it passes through cold spaces, such as the roof space, to prevent condensation.
- In unheated spaces, use the urine separator and drain urine to a leach bed so the compost mass doesn't freeze solid.
- Made in a factory powered by wind and solar energy.
To serve customers across Canada, many larger products are shipped by freight to ensure safe transport. Depending on the item and your location, you may have the option to pick up from a nearby warehouse terminal or request delivery to your home, cabin, or job site.
Terminal Pickup for Larger Items
Terminal pickup is available for many items over 150 lbs and can help reduce shipping costs.
For eligible freight-shipped products, you may see a Hold for Pickup at Local Terminal option at checkout. This will show available warehouse terminals closest to your shipping address, generally within a 100 km radius when available.
Once your order is scheduled to arrive, the freight company will contact you with pickup details.
Terminal pickup orders must be picked up within 48 hours of being contacted. After 48 hours, a $45/day storage fee may apply.
Residential Delivery
Residential delivery may be available for eligible freight items. Additional delivery fees may apply depending on your location and the item being shipped.
Remote and Hard-to-Reach Locations
If you live in a remote area or outside standard freight zones, please contact us before placing your order. Some rural locations may require additional charges or special delivery arrangements.

Receiving Freight Shipments
Always inspect your shipment before signing any paperwork.
If the box or pallet is damaged, note the damage clearly on the Bill of Lading before signing, or refuse the shipment if the damage is significant.
If no damage is recorded and the shipment is accepted, the freight carrier may consider it delivered in good condition. In that case, we may not be able to issue a refund or replacement.
Damaged or Missing Items
If your shipment arrives damaged, is missing parts, or has any issue, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving it. Include photos whenever possible, as they are often required for freight claims.
