Solstice 285F by SolFreeze – 10 cu.ft High Efficiency 12/24V Solar DC Freezer
Designed as a “cabin workhorse,” the Solstice 285F is a 10 cu.ft (285 L) high efficiency DC chest freezer built for off grid cabins, homesteads, RV sites and energy conscious homes. Running directly on 12 or 24 volt DC with a Secop compressor, it eliminates the need for an inverter, reducing conversion losses and keeping your overall system more efficient.
The 285F offers a generous 10 cu.ft of storage in a footprint that still fits easily into most utility rooms, cabins or mechanical spaces. Two removable baskets help organize smaller items, while the deep cabinet handles bulk food, meat and long term frozen storage. The insulated cabinet uses cyclopentane foam for strong cold retention, which keeps energy consumption low and helps your batteries last longer.
With a manually adjustable thermostat, manual defrost and an integrated drain, the Solstice 285F is simple, robust and easy to maintain in remote locations. Finished in classic white, it pairs well with other Solstice DC appliances and is purpose built for solar powered systems in Canadian conditions.

To serve customers across Canada, many larger products are shipped by freight to ensure safe transport. Depending on the item and your location, you may have the option to pick up from a nearby warehouse terminal or request delivery to your home, cabin, or job site.
Terminal Pickup for Larger Items
Terminal pickup is available for many items over 150 lbs and can help reduce shipping costs.
For eligible freight-shipped products, you may see a Hold for Pickup at Local Terminal option at checkout. This will show available warehouse terminals closest to your shipping address, generally within a 100 km radius when available.
Once your order is scheduled to arrive, the freight company will contact you with pickup details.
Terminal pickup orders must be picked up within 48 hours of being contacted. After 48 hours, a $45/day storage fee may apply.
Residential Delivery
Residential delivery may be available for eligible freight items. Additional delivery fees may apply depending on your location and the item being shipped.
Remote and Hard-to-Reach Locations
If you live in a remote area or outside standard freight zones, please contact us before placing your order. Some rural locations may require additional charges or special delivery arrangements.

Receiving Freight Shipments
Always inspect your shipment before signing any paperwork.
If the box or pallet is damaged, note the damage clearly on the Bill of Lading before signing, or refuse the shipment if the damage is significant.
If no damage is recorded and the shipment is accepted, the freight carrier may consider it delivered in good condition. In that case, we may not be able to issue a refund or replacement.
Damaged or Missing Items
If your shipment arrives damaged, is missing parts, or has any issue, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving it. Include photos whenever possible, as they are often required for freight claims.
