Description

PM-81012 Adjustable Pole Mount Solar Rack Kit for 8, 10, or 12 Panels - Poles Included

AVAILABLE SPRING 2026

The PM-81012 Adjustable Pole Mount Solar Rack Kit gets your array off the roof and into a clean, serviceable ground setup with tilt adjustment for year round optimization. It is ideal for cabins, off grid homes and remote sites where roof space, orientation or shading make roof mounting less practical.

This kit uses Pegasus Solar rails and Multi Clamps to keep the hardware count low and installation straightforward. The galvanized steel spine and poles are designed to be set in concrete for a long lasting, structurally sound installation. Height adjustment holes in the pole let you fine tune array height and tilt, and everything ships in a crated package for easier transport and staging.

Key Features

Panel capacity: Configurable for 8, 10 or 12 solar modules

Module formats: Works with common 54 cell, 60 cell and 72 cell framed panels

Poles included: Galvanized steel spine and poles supplied with the kit

Adjustable tilt: Manual height and tilt adjustment using pre drilled pole holes

Streamlined racking: Pegasus Solar rails with Multi Clamps that act as both mid and end clamps for 30 to 40 mm frames

Clean wiring: Rail system supports integrated bonding and wire management for tidy cable runs

Crated shipping: Ships in a self contained crate for protected shipping and easier site handling

Structure and Materials

Spine and poles: Galvanized steel for corrosion resistance in outdoor installations

Foundation style: Designed to be embedded in concrete

Mount type: Fixed pole mount with manual tilt and height adjustment via pre drilled pole holes

Hardware: Structural bolts, clamps and rail hardware sized to match Pegasus rail and Multi Clamp system

Foundation and Installation Best Practices

These best practices help create a solid, code friendly foundation. Final design should always follow local codes and, where required, a structural engineer.

Concrete embedment:

Embed depth: Approximately 72 in of pole below grade in concrete

Hole diameter: Approximately 40 in, suitable for use with a Bigfoot footing base and sonotube

Concrete: 2500 psi or better, sloped away from pole to allow drainage

Recommended practices:

Sonotube: Use an appropriately sized sonotube to prevent soil sloughing

Base prep: Place 2 to 4 in of 3/4 in crushed stone in the bottom of the hole

Bracing: Brace the pole plumb before pouring concrete

Depth adjustments: Increase hole depth by about 6 in for every 12 in of pole height beyond table values used in your design

Engineering: If pole height exceeds design values by more than 24 in, consult a civil or structural engineer familiar with local soil conditions

Cure time: Allow concrete to set for a minimum of 24 hours before installing racking

Where concrete is already in place, you can drill, chemically secure and lag the plate or pole into the existing foundation following manufacturer anchor guidelines.
